Economy Notes for UPSC IAS: Objectives of the various Five Year Plans

This is the notes on various Objectives of the Five Year Plans. This article will be useful for all those IAS aspiring candidates who want to brush up their concepts dealt in this topic. 5 year plan

The first Five (5) Year Plan started for the period of 1951-56 and till now India has been continuing the policy to formulate the Five (5) Year Plan. The recent Five (5) Year Plan is the Twelfth (12th) Five (5) Year Plan for the period 2013-2017. Five Year Plans is the centralized national economic program which are developed, executed and monitored by the Planning Commission of India.
